The truth comes to me
in waves
during a hurricane
of deceit and painful
half truths
based on half
lies of who
you really are
or what I truly am
which is naive to the
reality of your
existence as my lover
my soulmate
for you
are only
the truth
wearing the disguise
of a trick or treater
whose only goal
is to trick me,
not wanting to offer
a treat at all.
It takes some time to build trust. That’s not going to happen with this distrust happening. On his side and yours. Time to throw the piranha back in the water.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I wrote this in ten minutes, no edits, after reading my 5th book about Sylvia Plath and was wondering how she must have felt when she was so betrayed by Mr, Hughes. If only she would have thrown him into the water for the sake of her sanity.

First time I heard of Sylvia. Sorry I personalized my comments. It’s good to read you weren’t going through it.

No worries, I appreciated you taking the time. I highly suggest reading about her. Amazing poet and woman. She was sadly over shadowed by her husband, also a poet, Ted Hughes. She committed suicide(1953) and her son recently did the same. If you get a chance, check out her poetry.
